Competition Law
In the wake of heightened global consensus that the goal of consumer welfare demands that all sorts of anti-competitive conduct are weeded out from the market(s), the Indian Parliament enacted the Competition Act, 2002 and established a competition law watchdog viz. CCI for ensuring that no enterprise engages in any anti-competitive conduct. It is a new field of law, which is growing and developing at a really high pace. The litigation in this field is largely restricted to anti-competitive agreements (Section 3) and abuse of dominance position (Section 4). We also handle competition law cases for our clients, and regularly endeavour to keeps abreast of the developments in the field.
